Chair Reupholstery Project
Okay not really this season but it was my idea!
For an upcoming photo shoot, we wanted to have a chair upholstered in our fabrics.
I think reupholstering an existing piece is a great way to both recycle and put your
personal stamp on a a piece of furniture.

Luckily, my excessive time on the internet led me to Spruce (www.spruceaustin.com)
via decor8 (www.decor8blog.com Holly Becker inspirational and oft posted blog about
all things lovely).

The ladies at Spruce could not have made the process any easier. I simply shipped
my fabric to them, made a grand total of 2 design decisions (placement of fabric and
leg color ) and 2 weeks later I have my very own custom chair that I am nuts about.
Kallie at Spruce kept me updated through the entire process. She is a gem.

Spruce also has an amazing etsy shop (www.sprucehome.etsy.com) where they
sell items that have already been reupholstered and if you are in the Austin area,
classes so you can truly DIY! Now that would be fun.

Here is a bit more about Spruce:
Spruce is a design studio based in Austin, TX. Owners Amanda Brown and Lizzie Joyce
combine their backgrounds in art and their love for vintage decor to create updated
furniture and soft furnishings that are sure to spruce your space. Let us take your
home from dated to design.

Thank you ladies! Pixie Dust will be back! |
